A relic that ties into the story that this location was a regular campsite for the Native American Ojibwe and possibly Sioux that traveled between the Mille Lacs Lake hunting ground and the fertile Rice Lake where wild rice was harvested. I am told this is a Padre Bead or a Cherokee Red trade bead. It probably originated out of the Hudson Bay Company or maybe even through the Jesuit Fur Trade and explorers that ventured into this great state. It is only speculation at this point but it gives me a lead to go on. Couple that with the other Beads I have found on or near this site, and that story is closer to being told than it was when we started hunting this site searching for a lost corner store.
