Many would of thought that this happened when Obama first bought into the failed ideal of Socialism. He probably was in some mosque somewhere in Kenya. Do you think he had diapers? Well anyway, picture this, he is sitting there dreaming of really destroying America chanting “death to America” and touched himself as he dreamed of being the destroyer of the free world. This is when I think Obama’s intelligence adviser resigned.

However, CNN the Communist Nipple Newts, suggested that Obama’s Top Intelligence adviser just resigned! C’mon, anyone that believes in the failed ideals and values of Socialism can never be considered “intelligent”. It goes back to that old Reagan quote about those that read Marx and Lennon are called Communists but those that read and understand Marx and Lennon are called Conservative and more importantly Capitalists!

Anyway it appears that…damn It is hard to type when I am laughing so hard. Ok, trying to hold my breath so I can type and stop laughing….Ok, I think I got it. Dennis C. Blair has announced his resignation effective this Friday. Mr. Blair is Obama’s top intelligence adviser, Director of National Intelligence.

OK, just think about this. America’s #1 top intelligence adviser is so sick of Obama’s shit, that he has decided that he wants to get so far away from this cluster Feck of an administration that he is going to resign and get out while he still has his head. Now Mr. Blair has served this country admirably as far as I know, and I appreciate his service and his resignation. How many others have to leave this Emperor with no clothes administration before he is “excused” from his Socialist wet dream and impeached?

Honestly, Mr. Blair is just falling on the sword to get a political football off the front pages. This administration honestly has had allowed more terror attacks on our home soil then any other administration ever! Can you even count on one hand how many terror attacks and attempts we have had since dumbo Hussein took office? Crap, I have to use at least two hands and maybe a foot!

How many have left this Administration? How many positions were never filled? How many convicts can be found to fill these appointments? Do you have to be a tax cheat or a Union criminal thug or Radical “ism” to work for this administration?

I am sorry but when I seen the headline: “Obama’s top intelligence adviser resigns” I just laughed my ass off. I hope Mr. Blair does not take offense to this post. I appreciate him stepping up to serve when our country really needs it, but honestly this country is hurting seriously with this last facade of an election. 2010 is also going to be painful because there are a ton of people running that are also facade’s. The political game has not changed and they are so swarmy stupid they think they can fool us. Well, who knows, if someone like Obama can be elected to our highest position in our land, then you know we are hurting.

Before you get all racist on me and want to pull your professional victim racist card, I want to remind you that I despise Barack Hussein Obama for the content of his character, values and ideals, not something as benign and unimportant as the pigment in his skin.

Intelligence, I would never spread the rumor that Obama is Intelligent. I would describe him instead to be vain, power lust, bent, evil maniacal, wrong, hate filled, elitist, dancing chicken, Socialist Squirrel, tyrant, coddled, and most importantly pawn. This guy is the Manchurian Candidate.

Damn, I thought Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter where the worst the left had to offer…I guess I was wrong!
,

But, the real purpose of all of this rhetoric and action by the liberals is the control of our very lives, liberty, and future. Let me say again, this is not about health care!

For nearly two weeks now we have been living in the aftermath of Congress passing so-called health care reform. Obama signed it and told us it was in our best interest even though the majority of Americans opposed it. Michelle Obama came out this week and said Barack expects all Americans to make sacrifices.

Here is what I have to say to both Barack and Michelle Obama. You wouldn’t know sacrifice if it bit you on your proverbial buttocks. You and your family don’t have to live with the consequences of your actions. Like Congress, you are exempt from this disaster of a plan that will destroy our health care system. Like Congress, you and your family aren’t going to make any sacrifices for your fellow Americans.

The real underlying problem with all of the hype about health care reform is that it isn’t even about health care. Sure it may address some issues relating to health care. But, the real purpose of all of this rhetoric and action by the liberals is the control of our very lives, liberty, and future. Let me say again, this is not about health care!

What the liberals and Obama have really accomplished, unless we are able to overturn their actions, is the socialization of our great American Republic. They have accomplished what their kind have been dreaming and scheming about for at least 100 years. That is the subversion of our republican form of government and the control of the people.

When a government is able to take over control of the health care system, they control the peoples very lives. They have “specialist” bureaucrats who decide on who gets care and at what level based on a formula which takes into account several factors. Among these factors is an individuals “social usefulness” and the economic return on the money available. In other words they now control your right to life.

In so doing, they deny the first and most sacred tenant of liberty, life itself. If they can control your right to life, they can deny your liberty. If they can control your right to life and deny you liberty, they can prevent you from pursuing happiness.

Our Constitution was formed to secure the blessings of liberty. The basic liberties stated in the Declaration of Independence. Jefferson penned these basic rights as those of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

This so-called health care reform is designed to deny “we the people of these United States” of all three. It is designed to strip us of our freedom and place us under the thumb of government. That is what it is really about. Don’t be fooled by all the rhetoric and media hype. See it for what it truly is.

Finally, to those Republican members of the Senate and House, wake up! Stop talking about health care reform and start making clear to the American people what is really the point of this legislation. Tell the American people the truth and stand firm in your oath to the Constitution and your obligation to the people who elected you.

It is not, nor has it ever been, about improving health care in America, people! It is time to fight for our God given rights by using our Constitutional authority to put down this rebellion of Obama and his liberal cronies in Congress.

I have always been fascinated by other cultures – primarily from reading the great literature and poetry that has its genesis in the Far East. Finally, my dream came true and I travelled to the Punjab – commonly referred to as the ‘Jewel of India’ because of its beautiful farmlands. It is quite close to the Pakistan border where my interest level was ground zero.

Before we arrived in the small town of Tarn Taran, we had spent several days in Mumbai, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Amritsar and several other large Indian cities. What struck me was the emerging middle class, commerce, business booming and everywhere we went three story malls going up. I looked on the shelves and saw up close and personal – all the outsourcing America is doing in India – because I’d seen the same products in Pier One and Target. This is where American jobs have gone.

The downside in the big cities is the abject poverty seen everywhere as you are besieged with begging women with half naked children. But it is a nation that is creating jobs and holding it’s own. They have their problems but their economy isn’t one of them. One must ask the question: How can it be that India and China are leaving America in the dust? America, a once powerful and great nation is hardly mentioned in the local newspapers. And not once did I hear Obama’s name even mentioned in the English speaking print media.

When we travelled into the small town of Tarn Taran, Punjab, I noticed that there was little begging and even the poorest of the poor were working at something. Some selling vegetables out of push carts, selling home made food and sweets, cobblers, and some selling buffalo dung patties on the roadside. The most amazing thing to me is the Indian ability to recycle. This is where Americans could learn from this country. There is no waste and they certainly know how to make use of their natural resources. They take buffalo dung, mix it with water and mud and make roadways. They also use that same buffalo dung as kindling to keep warm in the harsh winter months. Some of these people are so poor that they live in little make shift shacks made of sticks, old rags, boards and anything else that they can use for shelter. Many cook outside on home made rock ovens.

I thought of the waste in America and truly how spoiled we have become. Americans are always whining about what we don’t have – rather than what we have even in the worst of times. The poorest American is a wealthy man compared to the poverty I saw in India – yet they were making do with what they had and there were no programs to bail them out. One thing the Indian government could do is pay as little as a rupee a day and start cleaning up the trash. That would create jobs and clean up an otherwise beautiful country. America could learn much from India’s ability to make use of their natural resources and their one pointed focus on building their nation’s economy. So while our American government makes buffalo dung out of a once great nation – India takes buffalo dung and is building a nation. Is there something wrong with this picture?

Remember the old Trix cereal commercial where the rabbit is always trying to get the Trix. When he finally does get his hands on it, the kids take it away from him. They tell him, “silly rabbit Trix are for kids.” That seems to be the way Obama and the liberals feel about the people and the federal government.

We have a document called the Constitution. It is a document that was well crafted and written. You can take any section of it and read it through and get a very good grasp of what it means. If you want to read the whole thing it doesn’t take very long. To me, it seems quite clear in what the original intent of our Founding Fathers was when they wrote it.

Obama and the liberals though show nothing but contempt for the very document that they swore an oath to defend. They seem hell-bent on subverting it and re-defining what it means. To them it is a living ever changing document. They believe it needs to be re-interpreted on a regular basis to fit the current situation.

They can’t stand the thought that it set up a government for the people and by the people. How could that be when in their twisted minds only the elites are capable of governance. In their minds the people need a keeper after all to give them what they need. We couldn’t possibly have any idea what is best for ourselves.

Take Article II of the Constitution for example. It clearly states, “no persons except a natural born Citizen, or Citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President.” Pretty simple and straight forward to you and I, right? Not to liberals and Barack Obama obviously. To them this is again is a thing to be changed or re-interpreted to fit the situation. After all, they would reason we now live in a global society so the original intent can’t possibly fit the needs of the world. The presidency in their minds after all is bigger than just our nation. Therefore, shouldn’t it be open to anyone whether they are a natural born citizen or not they would argue.

In emperor Obama’s and his attorneys minds the question is not whether or not he is a natural born Citizen of the United States. The question is whether any Citizen of the United States can prove standing in a U.S. court. What is standing from a legal definition? It is the question of whether or not a person or persons have a legal right to initiate a lawsuit.

To do so, a person must be sufficiently affected by the matter at hand, and there must be a case or controversy that can be resolved by legal action. There are three requirements for Article III standing: (1) injury in fact, which means an invasion of a legally protected interest that is (a) concrete and particularized, and (b) actual or imminent, not conjectural or hypothetical; (2) a causal relationship between the injury and the challenged conduct, which means that the injury fairly can be traced to the challenged action of the defendant, and has not resulted from the independent action of some third party not before the court; and (3) a likelihood that the injury will be redressed by a favorable decision, which means that the prospect of obtaining relief from the injury as a result of a favorable ruling is not too speculative.

In all of the cases requesting proof of Obama’s qualifications to be President, his attorneys have argued those initiating the suits lack standing. I would argue they are looking at it from the point outlined in (3) above. They believe the likelihood of the people obtaining relief from their injury by a favorable ruling is too speculative. In their minds we the people have no likelihood of the injuries to the Constitution being redressed by the courts.

Obama doesn’t think we have any right to question his eligibility to be President because he and his elitist cronies know what is best for us. In his mind, government is not for the people and by the people. It is for those “gifted few” who can see beyond our arcane Constitution and rule with a dictatorial mentality.

Silly people, government is for the elite. Not for we who in their minds are the ignorant masses. It couldn’t possibly be a government by the people, for the people in their twisted minds. We the people must demand relief of the injury to our Constitution. We must join together to show who really holds the power to govern under the Constitution.

My take on the mass exodus from the Obama, Pelosi and Reid Cluster Feck is this: We knew it would happen. We told you it would happen. Now that these corrupt tyrants are in power, how do we get rid of them?

I am firing up my kettle of tar and eying the geese as feather donors, and have been sharpening my pitchfork now since Sen. McCain was forced upon us as our candidate. Let’s face it patriots, there are some really hard times a coming.

We are faced with a dualistic party system where the rats control both parties! Socialist Squirrels have infested the lack luster cluster Feck of leadership in both parties. We do not see leaders at all honestly, and because the tea party and the Grizzly Groundswell came to late to the party, in 2010 we face another daunting decision between the choice of the lesser of two evils. We have not set the foundation for raising money for the stable of candidates that will bring about leadership in the 2010 elections. We will get more of the same. In fact we may be worse off because now the RNC that is infested with Socialist Squirrels and really is at war with us Conservative grassroots will ride the pendulum swing away from Obama’s narcissism into victory and we will be stuck with the wrong leadership with a victory under their belt.

We are at war with Socialist Squirrels in our own RNC party and the DNC is beyond help. We know a third party is folly yet working within either of these parties alone as a single voice is folly as well. What do we do?

We get Grizzly.

We dedicate ourselves not to this election in 2010 but building a Grizzly Groundswell that will serve future generations and return the Republican party to the Abraham Lincoln Republican party that E. W. Everson united with Conservative Democrats and Independents to defeat this evil that has befallen our American dream.

We set the foundation blocks back plump and true and each individual steps up into a vital asset for mission. If you can blog, then you blog. If you can promote those that blog, then you set your labor in that direction. If you can grapple with finance then you work with us to get a PAC started. If you have a business, then you advertise with us and work with us to be the best at your business you can be in these difficult times and keep your eye out for leaders that we can raise up and support into elected office. If you think you want to be an elected official then you first serve those in your area and network them into this Grizzly Groundswell. If you can sell advertising then you put food on your table and sell our advertising so that we can provide more vehicles for our activists, business and organizations. If you have an idea for an organization then you start it and plug it into the Grizzly Groundswell so that your not reinventing the wheel and networked with others who are doing the same.

I am stepping back from doing everything for this movement. I am only networking these efforts. I can provide leadership and consulting so that I can hook you up with members who have been there and have done that or are doing the same thing you are. However, I am going to let each individual lead their organization, business and effort. I am just overseeing what I can oversee and that is the vision of where we need to go and following the blue print my great grandfather handed down to me.

There is a ton of work to do my friends, but like myself, I know you never have been daunted by a little hard work. We will get the rest we need when our good race is over and the good fight is won. Until then, it is Grizzly balls to the wall my friend!

I don’t know if you have noticed or not, but Obama has a real problem with our Constitutions mandated separation of powers. He seems to have a real disdain in fact for the other two branches of government. He has been openly critical of the Supreme Court after their ruling on McCain-Feingold.

During his interview with Katie Couric prior to the Super-bowl he said he wished he didn’t have to go to Congress to get health care reform. He lamented about how he wished he could enact it by executive order. If those other two pesky branches of government would just recognize that he is the emperor of the known world things would run so much smoother.

From the tone of his comments you get the impression Obama would love to have the same authority as Hugo Chavez. If you think back Chavez felt the same way and eventually got his wish. Is this the type of government you want Mr. Obama?

I believe you will see more and more attempts to paint the other two branches of government as obstructionist to his agenda of hope and change. What is really scary is, I believe Obama believes his own press. He actually thinks he should be the supreme authority in America without any sharing of power.

Recently while attending a meeting with church leaders in America, he told them they should question his actions or policies. Again it was kind of like he was saying how dare you question the chosen one.

This week he also criticized the Senate confirmation process for delaying approval of his appointments before the vote on confirmation. He again seemed to be annoyed with the fact he would have to follow the same rules all presidents before him have had to follow.

This pattern of openly stating his frustration with the process is a very dangerous indication of Obama’s lack of concern for the original intent of the Constitution. It is also an attempt to garner public support for him to have expanded powers. I want to make it clear, I do not for a minute think he just doesn’t understand it. I think he just chooses to interpret it according to his wishes.

What is even more alarming is there are people on the left who would love to give him more authority. That way they could once again let the government take over one more aspect of their lives.

After all doesn’t Obama know what is best for each of us? Isn’t he better equipped to lead the Nation? If he just didn’t have to work with those other pesky branches of government he could show us all.

Mr. President there was a reason for the three branches of government being outlined in the Constitution. It was to keep people like you from becoming a dictator and destroyer of freedom. Sorry, but as long as our Constitution remains intact, you will have to continue to work with them no matter how “pesky’ you may find them.

Last week Barack Obama once again went off the teleprompter and made comments about people not going to Las Vegas. You may recall about a year ago he said, ” You can’t go take that trip to Las Vegas or go down to the Super bowl on the taxpayer’s dime.” That comment, according to officials in Vegas, caused many corporations to cancel planned business functions in their city. According to some it caused the unemployment rate to climb to its highest rate in Vegas’ history.

This time during a townhall speech in Nashua, New Hampshire, Mr. Obama again popped off about Las Vegas when talking about the need to tighten our belts due to the economy. Obam said. ” You don’t go buying a boat when you can barely pay your mortgage. You don’t blow a bunch of cash on Vegas when you are trying to save for college.” Really Mr. President, no joke? Not only are you clueless to the fact the American people aren’t stupid, you seem to have a problem with Las Vegas.

Harry Reid who normally would be lapping up Obama’s words actually took him to task. Reid said, ” The President needs to lay off Las Vegas and stop making it the poster child for where people shouldn’t be spending their money.” Others made similar statements about Obama’s statement.

You may recall as I do that during the last Presidential Election one of the national networks interviewed representatives form the service workers union in Las Vegas. What they found during that interview is that the majority of those workers when asked said they where voting for Barack Obama. I find it interesting that the man they thought would bring them hope and change, instead brought them unemployment. The worse part is it wasn’t just his leadership which caused the problem. It was his irresponsible comments instead.

I really enjoyed Las Vegas’ Mayor’s comments about Obama. The Mayor said of Obama’s planned trip to Vegas latter this month, ” When he comes I will do everything I can to give him the boot back to Washington to visit his failures back there.” He made it clear the President was not welcome in his city. The Mayor went on to say, ” This President is a real slow learner.”

On February 01, 2010, President Obama unveiled his budget for the 2011 Fiscal Year. Despite his talk of the need for fiscal restraint, this budget delivers little of that. The budget, rather than freezing spending, continues down the path of fiscal recklessness by continuing to increase total government spending.

This from the man who wants to tell us how to manage our money and where not to spend it. All of this made me ask the question, “What is the President’s problem with Las Vegas?” I think I have the answers as illustrated by the following top ten list.

#1. You get to choose whether or not you want to go to Vegas and risk blowing your money. With the
federal government you don’t get to choose when they blow it.

#2. In Vegas everything is available for the right price and you actually get the benefit of what you paid
for. When Washington spends your money you get little or nothing for it.

#3. When you pay for the Presidential Suite at a Vegas hotel, you get to sleep in it. When the President or
your Congressman or Senator stay in a fancy hotel it is just at your expense.

#4. The Casinos have daily loss limits. Taxpayers don’t have that option when it comes to the daily
loss from deficit spending by the government in Washington.

#5. They say what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. What happens in Washington will effect all of our
lives.

#6. In Las Vegas when you lay your money down you at least have a chance of winning more than you
had when you started. With Washington you have no chance of winning it back.

#7. Las Vegas can only survive on tourism. The government in Washington can survive by raising taxes,
borrowing from China, or printing more money.

#8. In Vegas they don’t think you can spend your way out of debt. In Washington they do.

#9. You can get cheap airfare and travel packages for your trip to Vegas. The President will spend
hundreds of thousands of dollars to fly in Air Force One to go to Vegas for a politically motivated photo-op.

#10. In Vegas they arrest people who pick your pockets. In Washington they give them awards and
accolades.

Most of us have enough sense to know whether or not we should buy a boat or take a trip to Vegas. What Obama doesn’t like is the fact we have a choice at all. He would rather control all our money and dole out only what he thinks we need. Under his plan, there would be no boat or trips to anywhere, let alone Vegas. He would rather Washington have use of the money you choose for recreation or entertainment.

My response to his advice would be simple. “If the President calls, tell him we went to Vegas.” At least there we have a chance of coming back with more than we went with.

Science Fiction fans and other major advocates of space exploration were up in arms this week when the Obama budget was revealed cutting NASA’s budget for the Constellation program and the Ares rocket. (“Obama Aims to Ax Moon Mission” in The Orlando Sentinel January 27, 2010, by Robert Block and Mark Matthews)

After spinning the recent Star Trek movie to his advantage and promising to take America “Where no one has gone before,” Obama once again appears to have reneged on a promise.

As a science geek myself, I cold not help but feel a little hurt too. But at least I expected Obama to be a disappointment. For those originally enamored with the Messianic message of the freshman senator from Illinois, any shortcomings are traumatic.

On further examination, however it is interesting to note that Obama’s budget for NASA actually increases it by around one billion dollars.

All this leaves my libertarian heart split. Part of me looks at NASA and realizes the utter waste that is going on in the program. NASA Scientists actually credited budget cuts for the success of the last Mars lander! Previous projects had tried to use complex rocketry to soften landings on the planet and resulted in many destroyed landing craft. The forced simplicity caused the scientists to have to think creatively and resulted in actual solutions to the complexity of landing on the red planet.

But a bigger part of me realizes that government has always taken an interest in the exploration and expansion of its territory. From Columbus to Lewis & Clark on through the 1960’s government has been right there along side private industry taking the initiative to explore uncharted territory. It has historically proved to be successful.

We explore new territories and venture out past our borders not only because of possible economic benefits but also because it is human nature.

Humans will always want to Boldly Go and that is what drives us. Success in business, success in love, success in exploration and adventure! Without these mankind stagnates.

Aside from the national security advantages to space superiority, there is a sense of pride and accomplishment that makes mankind want to go further.

“We choose to go to the moon and do the other things in this decade, not because they are easy, but because they are hard.”

Thanks JFK – a democrat whose policies and outlook were more conservative than many republicans of the 20th century.

On the private side there is already a man pursuing first space and then the moon!

British entrepreneur and look alike to yours-truly, Richard Branson, has his heart set on space. And on making money from space transit.

This man is really doing it! He has commercialized space and is in the first stages of mounting pay-per-flight space explorations! I bow to his greatness.

Here’s where my conflict comes in. While I think for national security reasons, for national pride reasons, hell! for reasons of human nature and hope for a brighter tomorrow, NASA must continue to be funded, I cannot help but wonder what NASA’s role should be and what should NASA be allowing entrepreneurs to do instead?

The space shuttle was a horrible product. It was the El Camino of space travel – passenger vehicle/cargo hauler that instead of doing either really well did both . . . . okay. . . . at best. Only government can tolerate “Okay,” entrepreneurs know that to succeed on the market they must be exceptional. Branson is about to launch one of the most pioneering commercial endeavors of all time and I just hope government regulators will get out of his way and let him take man into spac.

I’m not saying we don’t need NASA. . . . quite the contrary. We need both a strong National Aeronautics and Space Administration and a strong commercial space fleet!

If mankind is to flourish it must continue to explore and adventure. Whether to the depths of the sea or to the far reaches of the universe.

The message – we cannot cut funding for explorations to pay for “projects and needs at home” because it is those very explorations that give us hope and vision for our homes. But government is not the only answer. Commercial endeavors are the final and most lasting solution. But commercial industry flourishes best in an environment protected from criminal threats. NASA must continue to be funded as a national security priority and support must be given to those with the vision to finance private missions.

Why does a man want to go to the moon? For the same reason he wants to climb a mountain – Because it’s there.

At the annual prayer breakfast, President Obama tried to exploit religion for political purposes, in the process exposing his arrogance and contempt for the American people. I heard Conservative radio commentators playing sound bytes of one mispronounced word and asserting that the mainstream media who would have ridiculed Shrub for making the same error are ignoring it when made by their favorite politician.

I don’t care about the mispronounced word or the media’s attitude. I am disgusted by the sheer arrogance evidenced by the President’s statement. I am concerned with substance, not delivery and style. This speech stinks, like something you might find sticking to your shoes after a visit to a barnyard.

Remarks by the President at the National Prayer Breakfast quoted out of context, with emphasis added, interspersed with commentary.
I’m privileged to join you once again, as my predecessors have for over half a century. Like them, I come here to speak about the ways my faith informs who I am — as a President, and as a person. But I’m also here for the same reason that all of you are, for we all share a recognition — one as old as time — that a willingness to believe, an openness to grace, a commitment to prayer can bring sustenance to our lives.

In ’04, a few days after his nomination to run for the Senate, Obama sat for interview with Cathleen Falsani. These out of context snippets from that interview may help us to understand how his faith informs him. [Emphasis added.]

So that, one of the churches I met, or one of the churches that I became involved in was Trinity United Church of Christ. And the pastor there, Jeremiah Wright, became a good friend. So I joined that church and committed myself to Christ in that church.

Yeah, although I don’t, I retain from my childhood and my experiences growing up a suspicion of dogma. And I’m not somebody who is always comfortable with language that implies I’ve got a monopoly on the truth, or that my faith is automatically transferable to others.

I’m a big believer in tolerance. I think that religion at it’s best comes with a big dose of doubt. I’m suspicious of too much certainty in the pursuit of understanding just because I think people are limited in their understanding.

Its’ not formal, me getting on my knees. I think I have an ongoing conversation with God. I think throughout the day, I’m constantly asking myself questions about what I’m doing, why am I doing it.

When I’m talking to a group and I’m saying something truthful, I can feel a power that comes out of those statements that is different than when I’m just being glib or clever.

Obama has an ongoing conversation with God and is constantly asking himself questions about his actions. Does he think he is God or can he carry on two conversations at once? Judging by how he speaks without a teleprompter, I suspect that he can’t handle simultaneous conversations.

He is suspicious of dogma and takes religion with a big dose of doubt; how does that comport with having faith? The last quote from the interview seems to reveal a little too much. He admitted that he is not consistently truthful in his public remarks.

It’s inspiring. This is what we do, as Americans, in times of trouble. We unite, recognizing that such crises call on all of us to act, recognizing that there but for the grace of God go I, recognizing that life’s most sacred responsibility — one affirmed, as Hillary said, by all of the world’s great religions — is to sacrifice something of ourselves for a person in need.

There is a tendency to confuse personal and communal responsibilities. That confusion contributes greatly to the pursuit of the Socialist agenda. President Obama is contributing to that tendency.

Sadly, though, that spirit is too often absent when tackling the long-term, but no less profound issues facing our country and the world. Too often, that spirit is missing without the spectacular tragedy, the 9/11 or the Katrina, the earthquake or the tsunami, that can shake us out of complacency. We become numb to the day-to-day crises, the slow-moving tragedies of children without food and men without shelter and families without health care. We become absorbed with our abstract arguments, our ideological disputes, our contests for power. And in this Tower of Babel, we lose the sound of God’s voice.

Note the bold faced clauses; are these Freudian slips or a demagogue mocking us by implicitly exposing himself ? At a spiritual retreat, a prayer breakfast, the President raises one of the most divisive issues, framing it in the context of religious obligation so as to imply guilt on the part of those who oppose his contest for power, which is founded on false premises. President Obama falsely asserts that his program will increase availability and decrease costs while its effects will be the exact opposite. Clearly, he is obsessed with the contest for power and employing a false argument in that contest.

Now, for those of us here in Washington, let’s acknowledge that democracy has always been messy. Let’s not be overly nostalgic. (Laughter.) Divisions are hardly new in this country. Arguments about the proper role of government, the relationship between liberty and equality, our obligations to our fellow citizens — these things have been with us since our founding. And I’m profoundly mindful that a loyal opposition, a vigorous back and forth, a skepticism of power, all of that is what makes our democracy work.

The men who founded our representative republic had personally experienced and observed the evils attendant to tyranny. They wanted truth and reason to prevail over arbitrary authority, prejudice & passion. Rigorous debate is part of the process, so that competing ideas and arguments can be tested against each other. In the present case, the P:resident’s partisans have declared our way or no way, and sought to prevent the opposition from having any input to the process. They have abused rules and procedures to limit debate and prevent scrutiny of the content of their legislation.

And we’ve seen actually some improvement in some circumstances. We haven’t seen any canings on the floor of the Senate any time recently. (Laughter.) So we shouldn’t over-romanticize the past. But there is a sense that something is different now; that something is broken; that those of us in Washington are not serving the people as well as we should. At times, it seems like we’re unable to listen to one another; to have at once a serious and civil debate. And this erosion of civility in the public square sows division and distrust among our citizens. It poisons the well of public opinion. It leaves each side little room to negotiate with the other. It makes politics an all-or-nothing sport, where one side is either always right or always wrong when, in reality, neither side has a monopoly on truth. And then we lose sight of the children without food and the men without shelter and the families without health care.

The seeds of division and distrust are sown with campaign speeches and advertisements full of lies and half truths. They are fertilized by the habit of ignoring vox populi and a Hellbent determination to impose injurious policies contrary to common sense, experience and the popular will. Their fruits are harvested and a new crop sown with shibboleths such as “families without health care”.

Politics becomes an “all-or-nothing sport” when the stakes are raised, when the policies proposed are self-perpetuating, irreversible and threaten economic devastation. The limited powers assigned to the federal government by the Constitution were designed to prevent politics from becoming a threat to life, liberty and prosperity. The erosion of those limits, set in motion by F.D.R., resulted in the current political climate.

Empowered by faith, consistently, prayerfully, we need to find our way back to civility. That begins with stepping out of our comfort zones in an effort to bridge divisions. We see that in many conservative pastors who are helping lead the way to fix our broken immigration system. It’s not what would be expected from them, and yet they recognize, in those immigrant families, the face of God. We see that in the evangelical leaders who are rallying their congregations to protect our planet. We see it in the increasing recognition among progressives that government can’t solve all of our problems, and that talking about values like responsible fatherhood and healthy marriage are integral to any anti-poverty agenda. Stretching out of our dogmas, our prescribed roles along the political spectrum, that can help us regain a sense of civility.

Our immigration system is not broken, it is abandoned, jacked up on blocks in the back yard. Illegal immigrants cross the Mexican border with no substantial interference. They carry drugs & disease over the border. They are accompanied by Muslims from the Mid East who may not have our welfare at heart.

The last sentence of the quote immediately above is an appeal to “bipartisanship” & “compromise”. The real meaning of which is “Conservatives, surrender your principles and vote for whatever crap Liberals put forth.”. When your friend suggests a suicide pact and hands you a poison pill, do you reject the pact and the pill or do you agree to swallow half of it as a compromise? Why should we abandon our principles and agree to grant amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants, making them citizens who can cement the Democrat party in power for the long term? The proposed amnesty will not solve the problem, it will serve as an incentive for even more illegal immigrants to cross the border.

So why should our side abandon our principles and accept legislation that will destroy jobs, ruin the economy, increase the federal debt and make health care less available & affordable? Its about our lives, health, prosperity and liberty, not about civility

Civility also requires relearning how to disagree without being disagreeable; understanding, as President [Kennedy] said, that “civility is not a sign of weakness.” Now, I am the first to confess I am not always right. Michelle will testify to that. (Laughter.) But surely you can question my policies without questioning my faith, or, for that matter, my citizenship. (Laughter and applause.)

In one of your books, you told about kneeling at the altar of Rev. Wright’s church to rededicate your life to God. You did not identify your deity. In a later interview, you claimed that you rededicated your life to Jesus Christ. In another interview, you said that the Adhan was the sweetest sound at sunset and recited it to the interviewer. We have plenty of reason to suspect that your Christianity is a political veneer.

The Constitution specifies that the President must be a natural born citizen or a citizen at the time of the ratification of the Constitution. British law makes your father a citizen of Great Britain. You were registered in an Indonesian school as an Indonesian citizen and a Muslim. Where were you really born? If you were not born on American soil, your mother was too young to convey citizenship. We can’t know for certain without seeing the birth certificate which declares the time and place of your birth. Why did you spend more than one million dollars to keep it out of our sight? Your Constitutional eligibility is not a function of your policies, it is a function of the circumstances of your birth.

Challenging each other’s ideas can renew our democracy. But when we challenge each other’s motives, it becomes harder to see what we hold in common. We forget that we share at some deep level the same dreams — even when we don’t share the same plans on how to fulfill them.

One side seeks to preserve the fruits of the grandest dream ever, which were temporarily secured by a miraculous victory in a war of revolution. The other side seeks to tear down the restrictions on government power. Those restrictions are the last line of defense for our liberties. We do not want to let you strangle the golden goose. Nor do we want to allow you to endanger our hard won liberties. The preservation of prosperity and liberty depends on frustrating your entire Socialist agenda.

We do not seek to deny anyone shelter, food, clothing or medical goods & services. We seek to prevent you from permanently destroying the Constitution and the economy.

We may disagree about the best way to reform our health care system, but surely we can agree that no one ought to go broke when they get sick in the richest nation on Earth. We can take different approaches to ending inequality, but surely we can agree on the need to lift our children out of ignorance; to lift our neighbors from poverty. We may disagree about gay marriage, but surely we can agree that it is unconscionable to target gays and lesbians for who they are — whether it’s here in the United States or, as Hillary mentioned, more extremely in odious laws that are being proposed most recently in Uganda.

There is only one way to reform our health care system, and it is not your proposal! Reducing costs and increasing supply can only be accomplished by removing artificial barriers to competition. That means allowing an open market in insurance policies across state lines. It does not include restrictions on hospital construction & expansion and reductions in the training of new physicians. Reducing costs requires better control of Medicare fraud and the elimination of excessive liability settlements. Your party won’t allow tort reform because you are in the lawyer’s pockets.

Affordability is ultimately a function of income and living expenses. When you raise taxes, you push every good and service we want and need further out of reach. When you create inflation, you push everything out of reach. You could allow people to set up medical savings plans backed up with catastrophic care policies, but, since that would not cement you in power, you won’t consider it.

Surely we can agree to find common ground when possible, parting ways when necessary. But in doing so, let us be guided by our faith, and by prayer. For while prayer can buck us up when we are down, keep us calm in a storm; while prayer can stiffen our spines to surmount an obstacle — and I assure you I’m praying a lot these days — (laughter) — prayer can also do something else. It can touch our hearts with humility. It can fill us with a spirit of brotherhood. It can remind us that each of us are children of a awesome and loving God.

Here we have another classic example of the over confident, narcissistic demagogue waving his arrogance like a red flag before a bull. There is no common ground between Socialism Capitalism, nor between tyranny and liberty. He assumes the content of faith as well as the efficacy of prayer, ignoring the fact that Communism is officially atheistic.

How many times did we rise up and reject alien amnesty schemes when Shrub was trying to shove them down our throats? How many times did we reject Socialized medicine when LBJ & Clinton tried to shove it down our throats? But Obama is deaf to our shouts, he can not hear the protests at the town meetings, tea parties and recent special elections. He has a stiff neck and a stiff middle finger for us, at minimum.

Through faith, but not through faith alone, we can unite people to serve the common good. And that’s why my Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships has been working so hard since I announced it here last year. We’ve slashed red tape and built effective partnerships on a range of uses, from promoting fatherhood here at home to spearheading interfaith cooperation abroad. And through that office we’ve turned the faith-based initiative around to find common ground among people of all beliefs, allowing them to make an impact in a way that’s civil and respectful of difference and focused on what matters most.

“The common good” is an undefined and immeasurable concept, entirely too abstract to allow a useful debate. Likewise “common ground” between faiths. There is no common ground between Islam and any genuine religion. Invitations to “interfaith dialog” are actually demands for submission.

It is this spirit of civility that we are called to take up when we leave here today. That’s what I’m praying for. I know in difficult times like these — when people are frustrated, when pundits start shouting and politicians start calling each other names — it can seem like a return to civility is not possible, like the very idea is a relic of some bygone era. The word itself seems quaint — civility.

Yes, there are crimes of conscience that call us to action. Yes, there are causes that move our hearts and offenses that stir our souls. But progress doesn’t come when we demonize opponents. It’s not born in righteous spite. Progress comes when we open our hearts, when we extend our hands, when we recognize our common humanity. Progress comes when we look into the eyes of another and see the face of God. That we might do so — that we will do so all the time, not just some of the time — is my fervent prayer for our nation and the world.

We are supposed to gaze into Obama’s eyes and see God. We are supposed to submit to his will. The difference between God and Obama is that God does not think he is Obama.

Thank you, God bless you, and God bless the United States of America. (Applause.)

There is one thing we can agree on: God bless the United States of America.
