Grizzly Relic & Treasure- Privy dig location is a cinch

Finding the privy location was relatively easy, but what we found still has us scratching our heads. Under the small mound there was not a honey hole of bottles, relic and treasure but instead compact gravel that was undisturbed. Very strange to say the least. We know this was in service from 1945- early 50′s as the sole bathroom for the farmstead. There were shards of glass and even a Charmin wrapper, but the honey hole we were anticipating soon dried up before our eyes.

Grizzly Relic & Treasure- The First Privy of the Year

Optimism was high for the first privy dig of the year. Larry the property owner knew about the area where it stood and we knew it was at least in service before 1945 to mid 1950′s. But was not torn down and removed until the 70′s. It stood behind a garage and was on the property when his father purchased the farmstead in 1945. The farmstead was a rental before that so we hope that we can find some evidence of its earliest inhabitants and possibly answer some of the pressing questions about this farmstead.

Grizzly Relic & Treasure-ATV is Loaded on the Trailer

Besides screwing up my paint job, this project is done and ready to get Grizzly! The ATV trailer is a tight fit for the Polaris 400 Sportsman but it will get me and the ATV to the hunt site!

The ATV trailer is really coming together. I can actually see the light at the end of the tunnel now! Ran into a conundrum with how to get the hub off to pack with grease, but eventually figured it out after I found the lip under the grease and dirt!
