Freedom Foundation of MN Dec. 8th, 2007 State of Minnesota Conservatism Conference

State of Minnesota Conservatism Conference
As many of you know, I currently serve as president of the Freedom Foundation of Minnesota, a free-market, limited-government think founded by my good friend Annette Meeks.
As part of our organization’s kick-off, on Saturday, December 1 we’re hosting the first annual State of Minnesota Conservatism conference. This day-long conference will bring together a diverse group of conservative activists and leaders from throughout Minnesota to hear from nationally renowned conservative and political leaders regarding the state of conservatism in Minnesota. Sessions will explore the past, explain what is currently happening on the ground in Minnesota (especially vis-à-vis George Soros-funded leftist organizations), and examine what conservatives can do in the future. Conference participants will also have numerous opportunities to interact directly with conference speakers.
Perhaps just as importantly, however, the conference provides opportunity for conservatives from throughout Minnesota to network with each other and exchange ideas as to what is working, what is not working, what they’re seeing in their communities, etc. Such interaction and information exchange is crucial to the success of our conservative agenda here in Minnesota. Plus, hearing from and talking with other conservatives is enormously encouraging.

- Governor Tim Pawlenty (we’re awaiting final confirmation from his office)

- Michael Barone, FOX News contributor and author of The Almanac of American Politics
- Jason Lewis, host of KTLK’s The Jason Lewis Show
- Tony Fabrizio, one of the nation’s pre-eminent pollsters
- Former Congressman Vin Weber, one of the nation’s most influential conservative intellectuals in Washington, D.C.
- …and many others we’ll be announcing as we near December 1
This day-long event convenes at 8:00 on the morning of Saturday, December 1 at the Minneapolis Marriott Southwest in Minnetonka and will conclude following the gala dinner.
