Bhutto Autopsy Scandal: Why Is This Even Considered Relevant?

Apparently, a lawyer for the hospital that admitted Benazir Bhutto after the assassination attempt is claiming that a Pakistani Police Chief (Aziz Saud) denied doctors the opportunity to conduct an autopsy on Bhutto’s body. Saud denies this charge and states that he had recommended an autopsy be conducted, but that Bhutto’s husband objected. Bhutto’s husband, Asif Ali Zardari, has confirmed that he had refused the request.

I guess it should also be noted that it really is no surprise that this incident is being hyped as a scandal, as it was a LAWYER in Pakistan that brought this information about. Didn’t they just recently have a revolt of some sort by a bunch of lawyers regarding the martial law conditions implemented by Musharraf a short while back?

So what now? The scandal battle is on. And it leaves me wondering, why the heck is this even relevant to anything? Apparently the Media believes it is important, since everyone from CNN to CBS, and even FOXNews carried coverage of it. But it’s an exercise in anality in all honesty. Whether she was killed by the bullets fired at her, the bomb blast that went off directly afterwards, or as the Pakistani Government stated, that the cause of death was the impact of the side of her head with the sunroof lever IS NOT IMPORTANT IN ANY WAY.

What is important, and what the media should be concentrating on, is WHO killed her? How, is only inane diatribe. Then again, when the media here in America has lower approval ratings than our own pathetic excuse for a Congress, I suppose the inane should be considered the status quo. So far, the Pakistani Government believes it was Al Qaeda who was responsible.

Pakistan’s Interior Ministry spokesman, Javed Iqbal Cheema said their was no objection to the body being exhumed by the family if they wanted to conduct an autopsy. Apparently, Zardari doesn’t trust the Government in this regard. As of now, they’re remain against an exhumation.

I guess the media really misses the IED casualties in Iraq if they have to resort to stories like this. Go surge!
