NBC=Nonstop Biased Coverage

Steve Capus, leader of what has become the clown college formerly known as NBC News is defending his network’s groupie-like following of St. Obama’s overseas trip. Capus stopped just short of saying that he has issued knee pads to the sycophants he employs but did manage to get to one kernel of truth when he stated that NBC viewers “don’t mind” if Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann anchor election coverage.

True, the average NBC viewer is generally an Obama staffer who is somewhat to the left of Hugo Chavez so the network probably won’t be getting any complaint letters from the faithful. They keep Joe Scarborough around as the token Republican (”Sometimes we let him eat with us…”). NBC ceased being a responsible news organization long ago and has become nothing more than niche mouthpiece for the far left. Anyone who worked for Hillary Clinton in the last year can attest to the fact that NBC’s Obama fawning isn’t merely a product of right-wing imaginations.

Rather than issue a reasoned defense of employing Olbermann in the news division, Capus decided to trot out the ghost of Edward R. Murrow. Murrow’s relevance to the situation? Olbermann likes to spank it to photos of the legendary journalist. Beyond that, nothing.

Matthews has been embarrassing with his man-crush displays of emotion over Obama in the past six months. He’s cried, he’s gushed and he’s actually frothed once or twice. He’s done everything but put on a mini-skirt and try to flirt his way back stage at an Obama rally.

Olbermann, of course, is a classic lefty journalist who believes that First Amendment rights are only for him and those who agree with him. He’s been working through some sort of tantrum over Fox News that never seems to end (and probably won’t, given Olbermann’s “prison bitch” status when it comes to ratings vs. O’Reilly and the gang). When not leaning into the camera with body language reminiscent of a drunk at a bar and whining about all things Rupert Murdoch, he’s predictably on his knees at the altar of Obama.

And NBC is comfortable with these two covering an historic election.

Years from now we’ll all look back on this and say, “NB-who?”
