Alabama Improper, c.a. Marks
Alrighty kiddies, buckle up ’cause it’s going to be one heck of a ride from here on out; improperness is on board.
My name is c.a. Marks and I author the Alabama Improper blog; a blog that I have neglected lately because I’ve been selfishly seeking personal endeavors elsewhere. Wait, that didn’t sound right. Here, this is better - I run two blogs: Sex and the South (my personal blog), and Alabama Improper where I sometimes still post about politics and local news.
Also, I belong to a wonderful group of conservative women bloggers who call themselves The Cotillion. You definitely have to check out these political blogging ladies; they are star quality writers I tell ya! I’m very proud to be affiliated with a bunch of fine women who know what they are talking about, what they like, and who are not afraid to voice it.
Being invited to be the Grizzly Groundswell Governah of Alabama for this blog may help launch me back into the political blogging arena, don’t hold your breath for too long. Nonetheless, I am looking forward to reporting from my neck of the woods.
So, who is this c.a. Marks anyway? I like to think of myself as a southern-fried sassifrass kind of chickie blogger, who loves to lean right if ya know what I mean. Damn, that didn’t sound right either. Hey, can I cuss around here or what?
Oh OK OK, for real, I’m just a 40 something year old female blogger trying to raise two children in the south. I am engaged to be married in November of 2008. I do work a full time job as an office manager. Serving five years in the military (U.S. Navy) is my proudest experience on this earth - well, except for all the drinking.
I’m not originally from Alabama, I moved here in 1991 and call it my home sweet home these days. I’ve voted four times in the Presidential elections since living in Alabama; two of which were successful; well, getting out to vote in general is a success in and of itself - so do it!
Well, alright then…I guess that’s it for now sweet peas.

Hey, I think you need to start recruiting some of your southern belle’s down there!
If there is one thing I know, girls are DNC where the Women are conservative Republicans! I will take one good Republican woman like my wife over a silly socialist squirrel DNC any day! I am glad you are onboard along with our very talented cast of conservative Republican women! Maybe you will have to get together and form the Grizzly Groundswell Gals faction of the Grizzly Groundswell Republicans!
