Our Pain Their Gain: Expect MORE Fuel Taxes
Well, at least most of us should expect to see even higher fuel costs. Like us in California, many other states fuel taxes are tied, through amazingly complex formulas which rise as the cost of fuel rises. And with the National Average for fuel now exceeding $4 a gallon, (actually $4.02, but who’s counting right?), it’s really starting to put the pinch on the average Joe’s pocketbook.
Personally, I won’t be even the least bit surprised if gas reaches an average $6 a gallon Nationwide by next summer. If not earlier. I’m actually betting on it.
