One of my oldest friends has been up there for years and he said the only thing he can't stand is the darkness. He also mentioned that A LOT of people used tanning beds and special lighting to get through it. They're not just dealing with SAD, it's a normal human response to being deprived of sunlight. You're a better man than I am, I can't even watch Olbermann do sports on Sunday Night Football any more. I was in Alaska in December last year.
