Memorial Day 2008 ~ Teddy Bear

Reaching back through a black and white photo, we can hear their song.

Awake, Awake your heart is still beating and the setting sun doth come to quickly.

Awake, Awake for radical and socialist scheme to steal and enslave your brethren.

It is not for another to do what God has brought your breath to breathe this day.

Stand, Stand Up your fellow man is crying out for a hand up, not a hand out that enslaves.

Stand, Stand Up your women resolved to gift their children with hope, and liberty.

Shake off the fear, the doubt, the despair, for your time is just almost nigh.

Step, Step into Action my son for your sacrifice will transform man.

Step, Step into Action my little girl, your steadfastness upholds the nation.

Awakened to Stand Up and Step bravely into service you changed what said could not be done.

March, March on as Political landscapes gave way and squirrels began to run.

March, March to the drummer who sees beyond years from old to our shared future.

Backyards once broken, defeated and fractured now sing your joyous choral tune.

Rejoice, Rejoice the battle is won and our dead rejoice in their graves.

Rejoice, Rejoice the radical socialist is done yet remember they will return.

Teach your children the seductive deception of socialist radical thought and deed.

Prepare, Prepare to be ever vigilant, keep up your children’s guard and watch

Prepare, Prepare to overcome anything thrown into your children’s path does sway.

Now it is time to slumber my friend, your race and fight are done.

Rest, Rest my fallen one, your gift permeates the ages.

Rest, Rest it all is won, now that you dine in God’s grace.

American Patriot your time on earth was short sweet and ended in pain.

Take, Take heart your hand has brought more good then any man knows.

Take, Take our solemn prayer for words just simply can never say.

Dedicated to all those who gave it all each day.  I salute the soldier, the spouse and the parent who remembers the pain of sacrifice and the promise that never was.  It is because of this gift that we can do what we do each and every day.  I simply offer my prayer of thanks and I pray peace like a river surrounds you always.
