Hi, From Michigan Redneck
I am Michigan Redneck. I grew up in the Flint, Michigan area. I now live in the Upper Peninsula. I have just joined Grizzly Groundswell, at the encouragement of a Conservative blogging friend, at ARRA News Service. My regular blog is Michigan Redneck II. It is a continuation of the original Michigan Redneck. I had started out blogging about the presidential election. I now spend more time blogging about Conservative and moral issues in general. Besides Conservative issues, I am interested in securing our borders, history, Czech culture, Czech language, Czech history, freedom, and freedom of speech throughout the world. I believe in exposing issues that do not get the attention they deserve in the MSM. I do still pay attention to the ‘08 presidential race and blog about it. I currently do not have a horse, so to speak, in the race.
I can be somewhat of a smartallack. If there is something that upsets me and is against something I believe in, I will say what is on my mind. I add humor where there may not should be humor added. I am cantancarous and loudmouthed.
Besides, Michigan Redneck II, I also occasionally contribute to First District GOP Blogs. This is a compilation/group blog, regarding issues of importance to Michigan’s First Congressional District and it’s member counties. Contributors also add posts about Michigan and the ‘08 election. Now that State Rep. Tom Casperson has announced his candidacy, I and contributors to First District GOP Blogs will be writing about him.

You made it! Congratulations and welcome to the Grizzly!
Where in the UP are you? the GGov is in Ishpeming! Damn you guys get a lot of snow. I am from North Dakota and thought I knew what snow was, but I was impressed with the snow in the UP. It is like driving in a rat cage during the winter. The snow banks are damn near as tall as a double story house.
It is beautiful there. And the Pasties are awesome!
Glad you are here and let your hair down a little and find your inner Grizzly!

Thank you.
I live just north of the bridge, in Mackinac County. We are still waiting for the snow to melt up here. This is the time of year when I get excited when it rains. If the rain didn’t melt the snow. it would still be here throughout most of the Summer. Speaking of Summer, and pasties, I can’t wait ’til Summer. Not too many pastie restaurants are open ’til Summer.
