I needed to wait until this date was over so that I did not hinder any Republican from showing up at their caucus.  I did not want to dissuade anyone from getting involved in their local Republican process.  That is what I pray everyone should do.  I have been involved since this Summer in my local BPOU and stepped up to become a Region Leader and chair of our search and screening committee.   From what I saw there, and from my vantage point our Republican Party in Minnesota is in some real, real trouble. 

I do not want to get into the specifics because the Republican party is one I hold dear and hope to improve and reform.  The leadership in the MN GOP has gone left so far that I do not recognize my party any more.  The corruption I witnessed first hand in destroying our incumbent, Rep. Mark Olson is astonishing.  I tried to reform from within but to no avail. The faction within is too radical and that, my friends, is not leadership.  My only cause of action to try and fix this problem is to attempt to reform from the outside. 

E. W. Everson, when the North Dakota Republican Party was taken over by Socialists  Non Partisan League in the early 1900’s had to call upon the conservatives of the “Real Republicans” or the Abraham Lincoln Republican faction the core of the party.  This faction was not big enough to derail the Non Partisan League from within and my great grandfather had to go out and unite the conservatives from the Independent and Democrat Parties as well in order to derail socialistic control of the fledging North Dakota. 

My friends, I am going to have to do the same, leaving my Republican Party and running as a Grizzly Groundswell Patriot Candidate for my local House of Representatives.  I know that some of you are very committed to our Republican Party.  You are going to find my decision difficult to swallow.  I pray you contact me and listen to what I have to say from what I have seen and from what I know must be done and I am being called to do as my right and duty.

I must run and win this seat in order to get the nations attention and stand up to this threat to my backyard.  Maybe just the campaign alone will light the Grizzly Groundswell Patriotic prairie fire. 

On a National stage we are watching conservative values being mocked and destroyed in the name of the Republican Party with the collusion of the Main Stream Media. 

My friends, socialism is taking a huge leap forward and we need to derail it here in my backyard.  At least, this is where the prairie fire is going to start.

Many of you volunteered your time and expertise to help me craft position papers, logo’s and help get the word out through this new media.  I am once again asking you to come forward and assist this cause. 

Brian Bonner has assisted me with interview dates coming up in a couple of weeks on his blog radio show.  I am asking all our other blog radio Grizzly Groundswellers to do the same. 

I will have some press releases and communication posts here in the future that I ask you help me get out there as well.  I want to run this campaign fully utilizing the New Media.  If there are any campaign managers out there that want to be apart of something really revolutionary, please contact me. 

Youtubers and other new media experts are asked to jump on board.  Fundraisers and those gifted with being able to ask for funds and raise money are greatly needed.  I know you are out there, being called to this conservative thought into grassroots action.

Currently, they are not up as I am retooling them in the next two weeks as I am working two jobs; Grocery Store Meat Department and Custodian Floor Crew,  while attempting to rebuild my sole proprietorship, trying to raise my cash flow and working on this calling every waking hour.  My friends, I pledge to this cause my life, my fortune and my sacred honor.

Running not seeking an endorsement from a Major or Minor Party, I have to collect 500 signatures between the dates July 1 and July 15th, 2008 in order to have my name on the ballot come November.  This is going to be a fun process that I want you to be apart of, either here, or from afar! 

The freedom of running a campaign such as this is that I can truly adopt a conservative platform and run a conservative campaign proving the pundits wrong that such an approach will not work in my backyard.  I know it will work and it will work in your backyard as well. 

CPAC 2008 is happening in Washington here shortly.  The greatest conservative minds are there.  I do not have the funds to go, but I want anyone who goes there to tell them about this calling I am following.  I need the best and brightest conservative minds in this nation donating to my cause whether it is in funds or expertise.  I know that most of those minds are found right here on the Grizzly Groundswell almost daily!
