Dear Doug,

I’m on my way back from the convention right now and I can hardly describe the energy building around John McCain and Sarah Palin.

Sarah’s speech rocked the house! She took on Obama and a liberal media that fear her message of conservative reform. 37 million Americans watched this speech, and I bet they liked what they saw.

Palin is also an important part of our firewall. You see, one of the official duties of our Vice President is to break tie votes in the U.S. Senate.

It doesn’t happen often, but it does happen! In fact, Bill Clinton needed then Vice President Al Gore’s tiebreaking vote twice to pass the last gas tax increase.

Just imagine if there was a tie vote next year on increasing the gas tax. Who would you trust?

Joe Biden - the third most liberal member of the Senate according to the non-partisan National Journal (who also voted for that gas tax hike).
Or, Sarah Palin - who as Governor of Alaska returned a budget surplus to taxpayers.

We need your help to stop Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

There are stark differences between where Republicans want to lead our nation, and where Obama-Biden would take us …

… Skyrocketing taxes, liberal activist Supreme Court justices, surrender to our enemies overseas, no drilling and higher gas prices.

Every liberal special interest group from MoveOn.org to Big Labor to anti-drilling environmentalists are laying it all on the line in 2008 with one goal in mind: to seize total control of our government.
