The day that freedom died in America was the day the Obama Health Care Bill was passed by a Congress that paid no attention to the majority of the American people. Where is the joy in America? Where has it gone? All the sacrifices of our forefathers apparently have resulted in a nation that is so divided and a government not listening to their employers – the American people. As that gargantuan mouthpiece for the perpetuation of racism in America, Al Sharpton remarked, after the Health Care Bill was passed by Congress on December 21, 2010, “The American people knew that they were voting for Socialism – now they’ve got it!” No, O Dufus One, with the exception of the far left , i.e., the Bill Ayers crowd, Americans did not know what they were getting into when they embraced Barack Obama like a Christmas goose! They were unhappy with Bush and, without doing the research into his background, they simply went bananas over those big ears and silvery tongue and voted YES FOR CHANGE! Well, that lack of research has resulted in a Health Care Bill that the majority of Americans DID NOT WANT and is already further polarizing this country. Hardly – the change the majority of Americans wanted.
Frankly, I feel like someone who dreamed they had a colonoscopy without ever having gone to the doctor and waking up with Obama standing there with a surgical glove and his middle finger pointed upward saying, “ Your ass is grass – nothing to worry about – go in piece!”
I well remember how polarized this nation was during the Vietnam War…a war this country did not support. This war exacted in human cost in terms of fatalities as follows:
1.5 to 2 M Laotians and Cambodians
3 to 4 M Vietnamese on both sides
58,159 U.S soldiers
Those sons and daughters who lived to return to the America they fought for – were spit upon as they got off the plane or wore their uniform in public. Years later, the guilt of Government built a dreadful monument to those whose lives were lost. But it was a day late and a dollar short. I cannot look at that monument without weeping.
Notice the anti-aircraft shells that are ready to be used to shoot down American planes by Jane Fonda’s foot as she trekked through North Vietnam bad mouthing Americans. By the way, it was Richard Nixon that got us out of that bloodbath and Hanoi Jane was a heroine to the far left – and still is.
When you consider the manner in which Chicago politics twisted arms and ‘paid to play’ to get this Health Care vote rammed through both the House and Senate – Richard Nixon looks like a saint to me. Now we have a Mafia like government whereas Richard Nixon was forced to resign over a second rate burglary. But the truth is that March 21, 2010 is the day freedom died in America…although it started long ago when government oversight and regulations over Wall Street and the Federal Reserve became so complacent that greed overcame reasoning and now generations will pay for it.
Is this what our lives are about…constantly battling with people we elect to represent us? As for me, I’ll always fight the good fight but I’m taking my life back because I’ve seen too much not to know that where evil men exist and don’t listen to the majority of Americans – there will be nothing but strife. So what’s the solution? Strange as it may seem, we have to find that balance within ourselves. We can’t separate our worldly life from our spiritual life. That is why this country is in the state it is in – government talks out of both sides of its mouth. We fall into the litany of politics and thus our constant stress. Not me! I’ll do my part but the one thing Government can’t take away from any of us is our freedom to love God. Think on that.
