The US Government is dead. Long live the government!
We started a little over 200 years ago with a government, “of the people, by the people, and for the people.” Today, we have a bunch of con artists who want to enrich themselves or gain favor or fame through the unscrupulous use of our tax dollars. Our spending in government this year alone is more than our entire history as a nation.
Our president goes on national television (repeatedly!) and lies right into the camera, aided and abetted by his teleprompter. Anyone who puts pen to paper and actually uses MATH to figure out what the Chicago darling is saying is called a: racist, right-wing nut, holocaust (global warming) denier, flat-earther, domestic terrorist, short-sighted, and a liar, just to name a few.
If we don’t go along with the fantasy, then we are against America? Baloney!
I am sick and tired of the money and the power dictating which way the votes will go in Congress. Our representative form of government was intended to protect us from mob rule, which is what straight democracy would be, but it has been broken by the lack of integrity displayed by our elected representatives. They don’t represent us anymore, they represent their own interests, and the interests of those who pay for it, or sleep with them.
So when a revolutionary like Barack Obama comes along to ‘transform’ America, he knows how to play the liars, whores, and thieves under the Capitol Dome. Threats, bribes, cajoling, and public pressure are the tools of the White House these days. No longer are we a nation of laws, we are a nation of the rich and powerful plundering the peons. Our children and grandchildren will suffer under what we allow to get by us today. If we relent, and if we fail, they will live not under liberty, but under a quasi-socialist dictatorship.
When whores like Ben Nelson can sell his vote for more of my tax dollars, along with junior money-tart Mary Landrieu, then governance reflected by the true needs of people has died. When liars like Obama, Reid, and Pelosi can argue from fantasyland when the rest of us have to live in the real world, then what is right for the country will never be achieved.
The framework being built right now by the Cap & Trade bill, Copenhagen agreement, health reform bill, hate crimes legislation, and the coming immigration reform (amnesty) bill will cement our descent from the Liberty of We the People to the subservience of the citizen taxpayer. Just as humans were bred to be an energy source in the Matrix, Americans will be relegated to the means by which government survives and thrives.
What was the last interaction you had with government where you were aware that it is your servant, and not your master? When was the last time a bureaucrat admitted he worked for you? They don’t and they wont. Government has become more and more arrogant at all levels, and the national drama currently being played out puts me in mind of the driving thought behind the Declaration of Independence:
“But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.”
I’m just sayin’……. the time is coming sooner than we thought. If 2010 and 2012 are not the reprieve from government arrogance we are looking for, it will be time for more drastic measures.

Your assessment is spot on! For crying out loud, just how much government do we need? The amount of governement that we “need” is certainly more affordable than the amout of government that has been trust upon us….or that goverment “wants”.
Perhaps one of the biggest reasons consumers are not spending money in the market place is that they are waiting for the other shoe to drop — specifically, the tax bill we all will get to pay for what our government of excess has spent! Good God, with a bill like the one I’m expecting, this average American will be all but wiped out!
