Here we go again…. The 60′s radicals that had a strategy of reducing population in the 70′s have re-surfaced with a green face. Check out what’s going on in Copenhagen this week.
When the ‘population bomb’ that the lefty-elite noodle-heads warned us about didn’t destroy the planet or the food supply, they had to stop talking about it. Back in the early 70′s, we were warned that our current increase in world population was unsustainable, and we had to stop having more children.
John Holdren, President Obama’s current science czar suggested that forced sterilization and abortions, as well as devious methods like sterilants in the drinking water would be acceptable alternatives to the population bomb. Writing alongside Paul and Anne Ehrlich, also moon-bat eco-scientists, he was careful to point out how undesirable such measures might be, but the alternative of billions of people reproducing would bring about mass starvation and suffering, and would be much worse.
In other words, the argument hasn’t changed, but the facts have. The population bomb didn’t go off, and we were able through technology to feed the world with less. It even created new industry and jobs. But now, there is a NEW catastrophic drama unfolding.
The ENVIRONMENT can’t handle all the people and animals that people need to eat and play and work with burping and flagellating all day! We are super-heating the earth and there needs to be fewer of us. I know, they used to say it was our factories and technology, but now it’s right back to the people!
And their solution? Fewer people.
What, again? How many times does history and innovation have to prove the pointy-heads wrong before we realize that not every person with a white coat or fancy title is ethical or scrupulous? They are not just injecting their faith and world-view into the science, they are forcing it. Even when the data doesn’t bear out their beliefs, they will alter the data.
We have seen time and again how the ingenuity of mankind has overcome the doom and gloom of a scientific establishment that has less and less to do with actual science and more and more about politics and grant-writing. Since Noah built the ark and blew away the skeptics, there has been a struggle between common sense and science. Galilleo fought the establishment of his day, claiming that the sun, and not the earth, was the center of the universe. He was ridiculed and persecuted… and he was right.
When science steps forward with verifiable PROOF, which means that it is reproducible, then it is time for us to listen and change. But when the proof is elusive, the politics are convoluted, and the end result is ambiguous, I say “Run! Run far, run fast!” Especially when all the end result will do for America is cost her a ton of money and dilute her power in the world.
Elites have tried from the moment of our birth as a nation to take us down, to control us, intimidate, and subject us to the very tyranny we broke free of to become our own people. They used to do it from Europe, now they do it from our own government. We need to stand up to the bullying and the lies. Educate yourself on the truth so when Al Gore says today that 40% of the polar ice cap has melted, you’ll know it was only 25% in 2007, and that’s it has mostly returned by 2009. OR that when he says it will ALL be gone in five years, that the scientist he used as proof will refute his propaganda.
Keep your heads, kids, the earth will remain as long as God wants it to, and it is a miracle of creation that continues to give us not only what we need to live and survive, but to thrive. The richness of resources we have been blessed with could enrich the world, and raise our standard of living, if petty government politics were out of the way.
