I was raised on farms around Dexter, Kansas by a wonderful Mother with a strong Christian faith. She raised my eight brothers and I after my Dad was killed in a farming accident when I was 5 years old. I was the only one with him at the time.
My Mother who went home to the Lord in January of this year raised my eight brother and me by herself without the help of the government. She inspired a strong conservative system of beliefs and values in me. I became interested in politics and the process of our republican form of government while in grade school during the 1964 election. I campaigned for Barry Goldwater in our mock elections.
In 1972 at the age of seventeen I wrote my first letter to the editor condemning protesters for hanging the U.S. flag upside down from the Statue of Liberty during a protest take over. It would be the beginning of a life long process of writing about liberty and freedom.
Thirteen days after high School graduation in 1973, I was sworn into the United States Marine Corp on a four year enlistment. I was promoted twice meritoriously and made Sargent in 23 months. I re-enlisted in 1984 and served two more years in the Marine Reserve.
I have worked with many conservative campaigns and candidates over the years. I am currently working with legislative as well as a Congressional candidate here in Missouri. Recently, I wrote a paper for the Missouri Republican Party on how to utilize new media as a member of the Communications Committee for Project Phoenix.
In 1996 I became the Co-Chair of the Support Republic Committee formed to fight the ACLU’s attack on the Republic, Missouri City Seal which contained and Ictus symbol. I served as the organizations media relations person and wrote article for the local newspaper for nearly 2 years.
In 2000, a group of people approached me and encouraged me to run for Mayor of Republic. I one election to a two year term and than was re-elected in 2002 for two more years.
I began doing a talk show called AmericaFirst on internet radio in July of 2008 and joined Blog Talk Radio in September of that year. In the past few months I brought my show to WGGRN as one of their hosts.
For years I have spoken to Conservative organizations and churches. I attend a Southern Baptist Church where I have served in different capacities over the years, including Sunday school teacher and Discipleship training leader.
In February of this year, I founded America First Liberty Foundation. You can find information about it on my website: http://libertybroadcasting.net.
My lovely wife Melanie, and I reside in Republic, Missouri. My two sons and two daughters live in Kansas. I am the proud grandfather of four grand daughters and three grandsons.
