With all the turmoil and hoopla circulating in regards to Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin’s unremarkable and unsurprising ethics probe results, I find it fitting to mention an ACTUAL ethics violation that the media is remaining silent on. An ethics violation worthy of reporting, yet sadly, but not unexpected, we’ll never hear about this from our “fair & balanced” media. After a fashion it could be said, Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass) was doing favors for BOTH his gay lover AND Fannie Mae over the course of many years. Literally.

Openly gay Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass) was intimately involved it seems with one Herb Moses. Moses was an executive with Fannie Mae (the assistant director for product initiatives) during the same time that Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass) was serving on the House Banking Committee. Which I might add, he is now the head of. The HBC and OFHEO essentially hold the control over government-sponsored enterprises. This ethics violation was over the course of the entire 10 years they were together. It’s also important to note that Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass) has also been the recipient of over $40,000 in campaign donations from Fannie Mae since 1989. Funny how that works, eh? I “do” you… You “do” me?

Talk about a serious conflict of interests.
